New Year

It's been so long since our last post, we've all been busy haven't we.. I wonder how many people actually read the blog. Haha. But anyhows, I shall carry on posting. Well we're entering into a whole new year and school has already begun. I pray that we will carry on God's torch and flame into our places of study. I believe that God is doing and will continue to build on what He has done in our midst last year! Let's join Him.

At times it may be tough balancing school, church and other commitments, but stick close to Jesus, ask Him for His strength! There are times when I feel so overwhelmed by work that I need to just kneel down, and pray and ask God for help. No one is SUPERMAN. Go to God and go to one another.

Many more exciting things are coming up this year. We'll be starting Bible Study as a LG! If you want to join us start reading Philippians. I will let you know more on saturday!

Join God in what He is doing

Wow, it's been a long time since i posted. Haha.. So here's what's been on my mind lately. God is doing something wonderful in our midst. We are just seeing God open up the hearts of men, drawing them to Himself. HEAR AND SEE what God has been doing in RGEN.

If you can hear it and see it (i think all of us can), then you must join in His work. Don't miss God's season for us in this ministry. If you do, then I'm afraid you'll be left out of the move. Take it seriously or you'll find yourself in one of these circumstances:

1. You'll find a lack of interest in doing God's work.
If you don't join God, then you'll find you'll lose interest in being part of His church! The church will be moving forward, don't get left behind!

2. You'll find you heart hardening.
Who can love God, and yet not go where His people are going? God's people always move together. Check your heart

3. You'll be left out of the fruits of God's work.
When God's work for the season has been accomplished, His people will celebrate His goodness. This is when those who have put their hands to the plough will rejoice! Because God has been faithful to His Word. Those who haven't, won't be able to understand the joy.

I want to challenge all of us to be part of God's work. Don't be left out.

An inspiring story

God has really been doing a GREAT work in the lives of many! Recently, a group of us gathered together and with desperate hearts and desperate cries, we prayed desperately for the lost souls in my neighbourhood. Hours passed and we were ready to set off to share with whoever God wants us to share with. God showed us many people and looking at their hardened hearts, we had doubts here and there. But,hey look! OUR GOD IS A GOD OF IMPOSSIBILITIES! So, with that in mind, we took the courage and that step of faith and approached MANY, believing that they WILL come for the Out2Play event! Indeed, God has opened the hearts of the people. The responses were all good!

This particular story i would like to share with you, is about a girl named Sharon, a NON-BELIEVER. She lives in my neighbourhood and we were all amazed at how OPEN she was! After hearing about the Out2Play event, you would expect people to continue with their activities, or whatever they were doing at that moment. But Sharon was all excited about it and she even decided to walk with us to ask other people!

Ask? Nope. she didn't just ask them. She BEGGED them. She pleaded and begged, pleaded and begged. She asked all her basketball friends and though she faced rejections, she still continued to beg. the amazing thing was, her excitement did not just stop there.

it carried on and on and on, and looking at her eagerness to meet me everyday to continue pleading her friends really makes me feel inspired. There were times where she had doubts about whether she was able to go for the Out2Play event, about her friends' confirmation..etc, but i told her to just have FAITH. From so little faith, her faith stretched and grew so much! God had really brought her into a deeper level of faith! I am so inspired by that child-like faith of hers! It's just so amazing!

TRUST+ACTION=FAITH

If God can use Sharon, He can use you too!

I was really inspired by this non-believer and this just shows that God is moving! God is really opening doors! & lastly, He answers our prayers! -Desperate prayers!

This christmas, we're going to believe that God wants to draw in people. 500 people!! Let's join hands and pray for the event. Have faith. I'm going to trust God because I know this is what He wants to do and He won't fail!!

So let's commit ourselves to pray our 15minutes (or more) a day. Pray heaven down! Ask for souls!

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened" Mat 7:7-8

Revival begins with you!

The Lord spoke to my heart recently when I was spending time with Him. I felt that I was just so hypocritical, so false in my walk with Him! How could I expect God to move in other people's lives when my own is in this state? How do I expect sinners to be convicted by the Word of God if I am not in my own QT?

It changed my mindset. I think the Lord wants to prepare our hearts. It starts with you! Make no mistake about it, God will not use an unclean vessel. Let the cleansing begin in the church!

I want to challenge us as a LG! No more playing games with God, stop the game of hypocritical religion! Judge yourself! Let God deals with us.

Can I share my heart with all of you? For so many years I've heard about revival. I've read so many books about revival, heard about it, talked about it, dreamt about it, prayed about it. Sometimes I lost sight of it, sometimes I am indifferent about it. But through all these years I finally am convinced of this one thing - God wants to give His church revival.

Revival, in the most literal sense, means a bringing of something that is now dead, back to life. Why this word? Because God's church is walking half-dead.

You know, revival starts from those who are willing to let it start from themselves. God always calls people whom He know will do anything He asks you to, people so in love with Himself that nothing else really matters. Let God revive your heart first.

I'm just sick of living my christian like half in love with God and the other half fascinated by the world. I'm just sick of this playing around with the eternity of so many people. I'm sick of our form without the power.

If there ever was a time to rise up, it is now. Gloria shared in LG 3 weeks ago that we must wake up (Rom 13:11). I believe God is waking many of us up. May we not fall asleep again.

Will you join me and the rest of God's people to rise up and pray for revival? Let's start from our lives first. Then it'll overflow.

The Difference between Evangelism and Revival

"A revival is a community saturated with God." - Duncan Campbell

The difference in evangelism, and revival is this: In evangelism, the two, the three, the ten, the twenty, and possibly the hundred make confessions of Jesus Christ,and at the end of the year you are thankful if half of them are standing. But the community remains untouched. The pubs and clubs are crowded, the dances, concert halls, packed. The theatres are patronized by the hundreds and thousands. No change in the community!

But in REVIVAL, when God the Holy Spirit comes, when the winds of heaven blow, suddenly the community becomes God-conscious! A God-realization takes hold of young, middle-aged and old. So that, as in the case of the Hebrides Revival, 75% of those saved one night were saved before they came near a meeting!

I am NOT satisfied to just evangelise and not see God's Power at work.

God is the God of revival, but we are the human agents through which revival is possible.

Are we not affected to see our community in such a state? If we are, then are we willing to be part of God's Revival?

Yes, I am. You?

The key of it is in the fervent prayer of a repentance heart. A broken and contrite spirit.

The vision of Revival is burning brighter in my life, I pray that God will renew the vision in your life and that you may Catch the Fire!!!

Keep doing the best for God

Passion is easy to get, but it is difficult to maintain. How to maintain the passion for God and for revival? The answer is simple, we don't maintain our passion for God. Rather, we let it grow.

Passion/love cannot stay at one level and hope to remain that way. It must grow. The correct attitude of our heart is to grow in love for God and for His glory. In that way, we can always be doing the things He has called and asked us to do.

It will get difficult as our schedules get filled up with time for study, or other commitments that take up our time, but be sure of this, the one who loves God can love Him anywhere. So let us keep our spiritual eyes on God while we study or do our normal stuff. Love God.

Don't be afraid about hearing

It's really exciting when we hear God's voice daily. Imagine walking with God every second! In your schools, in your homes, whenever you feel down/happy. But manytimes we don't hear correctly. Why?

Sometimes we want to hear because we just want to have the excitement of "hearing the voice of God". But God always speak when we want to know and do His will. I was getting worried about my own school work today when God spoke to me when I was worshipping Him. And you know what He said? He said that He could tell me all the answers to my homework just like that. Sounds crazy but at the same time sounds obvious (of course God knows the answers to my hw). He just wanted me to put Him above my unanswered homework.
So as i began to just realign my life, the answers to my homework really came. What took me an entire four days to think through became a simple 5 minute of just hearing the answer from God.

Are you worried about anything? Is there anything God doesn't know? If He doesn't tells us means He wants to do something else.

Love God, obey His voice.

Let's Just Do It for God

Last saturday at the altar, many of us responded, all challenged to change our lifestyle and start openning up the cages that our friends are trapped in. It was a great time of redidication to what we were called to do as a ministry and as a people of God. "To Save the Lost" has always been God's business here on earth! Let's join Him!

But being challenged is not enough. God doesn't want us to be just challenged and stop there. He wants us changed! There is a vast difference between the two. One just does it out of a moment's impulse, the other lives in commitment to God on the basis of true love.

This is loving God. Doing what he says. Remember John 14:15?

So can we as a LG commit ourselves to do this? Let's reach 1 soul for Christ this week. And change our lifestyle to glorify Him.

Let's just do it for God.

Obedience

Last LG we learnt about obedience, i pray that most of us still remember the memory verse as well as the lessons learnt..

To obey is to love God, and to love God is to obey. haha.. But it's the truth. Obedience is so key to the christian walk because God is holy, and so we must. If you are living in disobedience, you won't grow much in your christian walk. It is only when you submit all your life to God and walk in His ways that you'll grow closer to Him.

Is there anyone in RIOT2 that love God? Then we must obey. Let our faith bring us to obedience to God.

The Great Helper

We all need some help in this world. We need help for studies, we need help for living the holy life, we need help when we meet difficult situations. And we know that we have a Great Helper - The Holy Spirit. So what exactly does He help us in?

Jesus spoke of Him in John 16:14, "He[the Holy Spirit] will glorify Me". He helps us glorify Jesus Christ and the Father. This is the condition of the Divine Help, that when we choose to live for the glory of God, the Holy Spirit helps us. Do you think God leaves us an impossible tasks and then leaves us alone to do it? Surely Not!

How do we get help from the Holy Spirit? Pray. You may have heard this reply many times to difficult situations, but it is the truth - PRAY. Pray not like you did - for yourself, but pray that the Holy Spirit will help you glorify God through your life. He will SURELY ANSWER. If He doesn't, it means we are asking for the wrong things, bcos Jesus said, "whatever you ask in My Name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son." John 14:13.

Pray and live to glorify God.

The Holy Spirit

We've been learning about the Holy Spirit and who He is to us, that He is God, and that we should not grieve Him. Here are some questions to think about this week...

1. How should we treat the Holy Spirit since He is always with us? Should we always be talking to Him?
2. Why is it that we only seem to hear God in church? Is it that we are not spending time listening to Him in our daily lives?
3. What grieves the Holy Spirit? Am i guilty of those things?
4. What does it mean to walk my whole day with the Holy Spirit?

The Timing of God

Rom 13:11 says,'Do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we believed.'

It is good for a christian to know the timings of God. This is surely the last days. Look at the signs around us, the tsunami, the wars and rumours of wars (Mat 24:6) and the morality of the world in general. You can see clearly that it is surely near to the end.
In such an hour as this, we will do well to be alert in the spirit, to do the things that our Master had said we should be doing. And here in Romans 13:11, Paul reminds us of the times and that we must be spiritually awake.

What does it mean to be asleep?
1. To be unaffected by our surroundings.
2. To not do the things we know we ought to be doing
3. To live our lives for comfort and pleasure rather than for the purposes of God
4. To be concerned for ourselves rather than for the lost

It is scary to think that Jesus is coming back and some of us will be like those described in the parable of the ten virgins, those who have no oil. Will we be asleep when our Master comes back? I don't want to. Will you be awake?

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God and He is just as much a person. How are we treating Him? We've learnt that the Holy Spirit is always with us. Imagine God with us!! How will our lives change just to be conscious of that fact!

So This week, let's not hold loosely what God spoke to us on saturday. Live each day ackowledging God beside you. Let this wonderful connection with the Holy Spirit who is always beside us change our lives..

Not ashamed of the gospel

Are we ashame of the gospel? Am i? Are you?

Apostle Paul was not ashamed to preach the gospel because his message was the Good News about Christ. It was a message of salvation, it had life-changing power, and it was for everyone. When you are tempted to be ashamed, remember what the Good News is all about. If you focus on God and on what God is doing in the world rather than on your own inadequancy, you won't be ashamed or embarrassed.

"For i am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes ..." Romans 1:16

Let us not give up sharing the gospel. Our unsaved families, friends and generation need to hear it!

Our faith account...

Is our faith account increasing daily? I believe that it should be as we continue to look into God's promises in His Word. God promises are never broken, His promises are always trustworthy. God is not a liar and I am very sure that we can have complete faith in God.

So, let us never cease to look into God's promises and claim them today, and we will see them coming to pass. Remember that God's unfailing love and faithfulness are everlasting.

Our confidence should be placed in Christ alone.

Deposit into our faith account(s) daily by knowing God's promises and remembering His faithfulness :)

"It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning,

Persevering in the Sharing of the Gospel

It is not easy to live a life of constant sharing of the Gospel, getting rejected and all. But we must, and we have to constantly seek God for His power to convert souls. Let our evangelism be fueled by our prayers!!
I came across this quote that tells us on how we should share the Gospel:

The Gospel is a joyful fact; therefore tell it cheerfully
The Gospel is an entrusted fact; therefore tell it faithfully

Praise God for all that had happened in the streets on Monday. Praise God even for my sister's salvation last Friday when she accepted Christ during the reinhard bonnke's fire conference. I believe that even as time is drawing nearer, the Spirit of God is moving and we must join Him in His work. We've tasted and seen so much of God's glory, I believe we simply can't contain it, but want to share it with others.

The unchangeable truth is that if the world does not relate to the gospel, it relates to nothing. If the world has nothing to do with the Church of Jesus Christ, it is nothing and going nowhere. The gospel explains it all and nothing else does.

To proclaim the gospel is to move for him, act with him, love in him, and delight in his joy as the privilege, meaning and purpose of all life.

You know, we do not need to be like reinhard bonnke, benny hinn, Charles finney and other great men and women of God to preach the gospel. God has made you and I, each His mouthpiece to proclaim the truth. Preach the gospel and not preserve it!

I never knew how much I've impacted a friend's life till I shared the gospel to her one day. I left that afternoon thinking that my friend was uninterested and my effort has gone to waste. I was wrong. A few days later, this friend of mine text me to tell me that she has been helpless and whatever that I've shared with her that afternoon, caused her to see that there is hope in her life. Though she didn't accept Christ immediately, but God has already done something in her life and God is still knocking, knocking at the door of her heart.

Our God is the God of salvation. Amen

It's simply so exciting to join God in His work......

I want to make my way to Heaven and bring my generation along...

Preach the Gospel

Today we shared to some ppl the wonderful news of eternal life! A group of abt 12-13 ppl heard the Gospel from strangers who approached them to sing them 'Amazing Grace'!!! Praise God for all that happened. It was really exciting!! 2 of them accepted God. AwesomE!

Let's continue to live with eternity in view, preach the Gospel to all our friends, no matter what the cost! May our prayers and passion be put into action!!!!!!!

LG Outing!!

We know we didn't have life group outing this holidays, it was due to the hectic schedules of everyone who had so much to do!(me included!) haha.. so next time we'll go kayaking. The place will be confirmed... haha. it'll be during the 1 week break!! so look forward to it! We'll talk more abt it soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The refreshing Presence

One of the most spiritual refreshing exercises is to pray, to dwell in God's Presence and just enjoy Him. The toils and worries of the day can be put at the feet of Jesus just by committing your cares and burdens to Him in simple faith.

Matt 11:28 Jesus says 'Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.' This is a famous verse, but don't look down on its meaning. Jesus has promised us this wonderful rest and refreshing in His Presence. By committing it to Him.

Go to Jesus if you're feeling the drain and tiredness of studying and let Him refresh you for His purpose. Be great students and be greater Christians. Live for God, with God and through His strength.

Let's continue to SHAKE THE NATION!

Be a strong army

School has started. Back to those days where we have to endure tiresome lessons and also workhard. No more playing all the time. (=

But God is still the same as when we were in the holidays. And He wants to carry on His work. In Eph 6:10, Paul writes 'finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.' This is a command for us to remain in God's strength. God's strength is endless, He doesn't get tired. His strength is described in 1 Sam 15:29, that He will not change His mind nor retract His actions. And Paul says we must have God's strength. How?

By praying. Eph 6:18 says that we are to pray at all times with 'all prayers and petition'. Prayer is the means we rely on God. Charles Finney said that the amount of time you spend in prayer is the measure of your reliance on God. We will do well to rely on God. Prayer tires the body but energizes the spirit.

To do eternal, spiritual things we need God's strength. Let's seek Him this week for strength. God is OPENING UP YOUR SCHOOLS again. We must keep up with what He's doing. Be strong for the work of God!!

Vision of Revival

This vision came to me during the last session of the Night of Encounter, as we were ministering.

I saw a picture of a vast people, wearing armour all around, the Army of the Lord. Under their vests were normal rags, but they were clothed with the mighty armour of Christ. Then i heard God saying, 'Revivalists!' and i saw a vast multitude of soldiers too many to be counted. And God said, 'Evangelists!' and there was a vast multitude of them. And He carried on with Pastors, Teachers, Prophets and others, all with different weapons. And He said 'Intercessors' and i saw huge artillery that was so high. And God said,'In the time that has past I have raised few, but now will raise many.'

Then i saw a picture of a dark and evil castle. The armies of God were gathered at the battlefield. Then i heard God command, 'Intercessors!' and they threw huge bombs against the castle. After this, God called forth His armies, 'Revivalists...' and they charged against the castle. And as they were attacking it, they were set on fire by the fire of God and they were empowered to destroy the enemy.

As They were approaching the castle, the wind of fire came and blew over them. And the fire hit the castle and destroyed the enemy. The battle was won just like that.

And i stood there amazed at the power of God. For too long have i bottled Him up in my thinking. Let me tell you friends, Revival will come, and it will come divinely, so that no man can claim the glory of God. We are the army of God, and God is raising His people to fight against the devil. God is coming in power, will you be part of His army?

Church Retreat

Hi all.. We've just came back. We had a great time in Batu Pahat just listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit and seeing Him move in our midst. There were quite a number of healings in our midst just by the simple prayer of some. God is indeed awesome. I think that when God's people start believing that He can do such things He will. Will share with you all more tmr.

Prayer

We said lots abt prayer on sat. So how to make prayer exciting? How do we feel God when we pray at home? What am i suppose to do in prayer?
Let me start by saying that we're all learning to pray, I'm asking God to teach me to pray each day. So you're not alone. But let me share what i do know.
Prayer is when i bring myself before God's presence. I pray in the spirit or quieten myself till His presence comes. Then i ask Him what He is doing in my life and around me.. Then i ASK. Prayer is abt asking. It's about the loved son (me) asking my loving Father. It is about that. God has loved us so much! Do you think He'll give you a scolding for asking for REVIVAL or for things that glorify Him?
Andrew Murray said that we will know when we pray correctly when our prayers are answered. That's so true!
Let's continue in learning about prayer. Be challenged! Prayers bring the God of heaven into contact with His children here on earth..

How do we grow in our Christian walk? Simple. It is like growing a plant, we have to water it everyday, whether we feel like it or not. If for a week we don't feel like watering it bcos of laziness, it will die.
The Spiritual life is somewhat like that. If we neglect watering it we will always be defeated. So how so we grow?
1. Seriously read the Word of God. Read it slowly and think through what you have read. God will surely speak. Just yesterday i was reading Romans when the words just caught me and convicted me so strongly. The Word of God can do that if we take time to read it SERIOUSLY.
2. Prayer. Do the same thing we do in Pre-service prayer at home. Pray in the Spirit and pray what God impresses on your heart. Your spiritual life depends largely on this. Do you think you can love God more if you don't spend time with Him?

This is week 21 of the whole yr, and its holidays! Let's make everyday count for God. Don't let 2006 be wasted!!

Faith Grows

It is difficult to have absolute trust in God that He'll do a seemingly impossible task in front of us. It is difficult to trust God for the miracle of healing a crippled immediately.
This is when our faith needs to grow. The disciples, before Jesus sent them out, saw the Master healing and praying for the sick. They also helped to minister to the children and the crowds first. You see, faith starts small, it starts by believing God to change your friends' lives when they come to know Him. It starts by believing that God WILL save your families as promised in His word.
I pray that my faith will grow and that as a LG, we'll start expecting God to do greater things in our midst. So I challenge us to pray for the LG and for Service. Ask God for more, for more of His glory and power in our midst!

Faith without action is worthless, dead (James 2:24). I'm challenged to live our what I prayed and commited to God in prayer. The acts of faith expects God to answer that which we have asked of Him. Don't be afraid, let us put our faith into the next step.
The Lord showed me a vision of a person walking on what looked like glass, everywhere it was this substance - buildings, streets, even the floor he walked on. And He told me, 'This is how you walk by faith'. Let faith be in everything we see. Our natural eyes sees the effects but our spirit sees the possibilities of God.
Let our lives take on a new dimension. Heb 10:38 says - the righteous shall live by faith. Let us truly be taken into another dimension of living.

Let's all take this plunge into an exciting realm of what God has in store for us. Read His word, and stand on it. Find victory against sin, sickness, oppression and find every spiritual blessing in Christ.
God has over 5,000 promises in the Bible, let's start working on at least 1 today.

When I was praying, God showed me a picture of a Bible, it was drench with blood. The blood was dripping down from it. Then i saw a Judge taking it, openning it and reading from it. He read the Laws of God. And God spoke to me, He said, 'My son, I will judge the world by My Word, My Bible.' Then it dawned on me that God wanted me to take His Word seriously, because I will be judged by the words written in it when i meet Christ.
The blood on the Bible is the blood of Christ. The Word of God says in 1 Cor 1:30 - 'Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption.' God will help us to be holy if we would take Him and His word seriously.
The Word of God has given us everything needed to live on earth, even faith. 'So faith comes from hearing, and hearing the Word of Christ'.Rom 10:17
On Judgment day, God will open His Bible and read His law. Will our lives conform to it? Or will we regret in eternity? The choice is up to you and me...

F.F. Bosworth, a Healing Evangelist says that faith is the "6th sense" we should trust, not our five senses. It is the case sometimes in our lives that the situation doesn't get better immediately after we've prayed, but God will work out what we ask of Him surely.
There are 2 conditions of prayer laid down in 1 John. 1 Jhn 3:21-22: The Holy life, and 1 Jhn 5:14: That we must ask according to His will. These are conditions for ASKING.
There is a condition for recieving the answer to our prayers. This is in James 1:6, to ask in faith. To have faith is to trust in God.
Trust in God's Word, His Word is the only sure thing that will never change. Let us use that to measure our lives and ask what God for what He has promised us.

Ask, and recieve and glorify God. Let's stretch our faith for JESUS.

Sharing my Campus/School E. experience...

This week, school has ended in an exciting manner for me. Waiyin, Jerrel and I have decided to do Campus/School Evangelism. in school. We fasted and we prayed. Initially, I feared and I was a little frightened because it was my first time but as the Holy Spirit empowers, it removed the fear that I had.

As we were praying, God showed us how much we really need the empowerment of the Holy Spirit and the sharing of John 3:16 is not enough. We must return to the days of Acts. We must be filled with the Holy Spirit and allow God to lead us to places, people that He wants us to speak to. And even as we share, the Holy Spirit will cut to the hearts of the people, they will be moved by God. Why? Because of the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. It is no longer about our own human understandings and agenda that is placed before God, but be led by Spirit. It is really exciting. I know that if I go out and share just John 3:16, it may not be as impacting as to share things that the Holy Spirit shows me regarding the person, such as struggles and circumstances they are in.

I thank God for the opportunity to share with some people today, though we only managed to share to about 6 people today, I believe it was just the beginning, God has plenty more to do.

You know, people out there are really blinded and bounded by the Devil!!! It was really shocking to hear a response from this girl that we shared with. She said that she does not need to go to Heaven because all her relatives/family is going or in hell, so she will join them there. She said it with confidence as if it was nothing. How blinded is she?
And as Waiyin continue to share with her, I saw this picture of a black screen that was placed in front of her, blocking her. But we believe that as we share, seeds are sow into her life and that she will come to see the light, the truth soon.

After sharing to the last two girls, we called it a day. I walked off the place, feeling rather disappointed. But, God just begin to show me the plight, the state of their hearts. They are simply so blinded, bounded and hardened. :-(
Compassion.
Desperate Prayer.
I need to and I must constantly go on my knees and cry out for my generation, asking God for grace and mercy upon their lives else they will be perishing in hell. I was not satisfied. I know there must be more that God wants to do……

People, let me tell you, your generation, my generation needs Jesus. I pray and I pray that no generation will be wasted, no generation will die, but they will be turned to Jesus.

Are we weeping for our generation?

The Lord is leading us into a season of purification. I'm sure God has been challenging you to start getting rid of some of the things that have filled ur life. Well, God is challenging me too. Let us keep up with the Lord. Open our lives to Him and to one another. Nothing breaks sin so powerfully but confession, to God and to each other.
I believe that God is raising everyone of you up! Everyone in RIOT2. He is doing it, He is surely doing it. He is raising you and ur generation to take His Revival to ur schools and families. Will you be part of this MOVE?
It's going to be difficult and painful as God digs up the filth, but by His grace we'll all make it, because Jesus destroyed the works of the devil!
Lord, give us clean hands, and a pure heart. That's all we want.

A Great Experience. So what? Where to go from here?

Sat was really awesome, it was one of those times where all of us were just really caught up in the awe of God, of His holy Presence. There was truly no one leading but the Lord. He came and did His work and carried out His purpose.
Really cool. Praise God.

So now, having encountered such a great and awesome presence of our King in worship, where to carry on from here? What can we do to keep the flame burning? Here are some ways.

1. Keep loving God. Don't stop. Always rem what He spoke to you and how u felt on sat.
2. Keep worhipping God. He deserves our praise! Rem that God is not only in church, but also can work in our lives in our homes.
3. Rise up to pray for our generation. It's your generation! I'm working on my generation, talking and praying for my friends. You must do it for YOUR FRIENDS!! God has placed the key to eternity for their lives in your hands. And YOU ALONE MUST CARRY OUT GOD'S PURPOSE

3 simple steps will do for now. Let's rise up together as a LG. Oh Lord, send revival, start with me, then my generation, then my school, they the youths, then the adults, the the whole nation, then the whole SE Asia, then the whole world!!

I really thank God so much for what he has done in the ministry and in the life group. But i pray that we'll not lose sight of what God has intended for all of us as a body.

People, we gotta constantly guard our hearts against any evil and continue to allow God to feed us with His Truth through His word. Lets guard our relationship with one and another, if there are any misunderstanding amongst each other of any sort, let's settle it with each other and reconcile.
(Matthew 5:23-24)

God has shown us so much love, in the same way, let us not give up loving others. Even our enemies. (Luke 6:27) Remember that your enemies need Jesus too...
Many a times, we'll find it difficult to love others, especially our enemies, and that is why we need to ask God to help us. When we love others, others will see JESUS in us!

Love is a vaccine...
Love covers a multitude of sins...

God made it all... Lets love God, love each other, love our enemies.

Continue to pray and intercede for the church...May God unite all of our hearts, from the youngest to the oldest.

How do we love one another? By God's love. The one great commandment that Jesus left His disciples? John 13:34 -'I give a new commandment to you, that you should love one another; according as I loved you, you should also love one another.'
How to love others? Let God love you. In your QT ask God to love you. And you'll find His love enabling you to love even your enemies!! Yes, His love is that powerful!

Unity in the church is always a requisite for REVIVAL. The church has to be united for it to have revival. Let us move with God's leading on this. Love, Love, LOVE!!

Loving One another

I'm sure LG on sat was great. I personally was ministered to throughout the whole thing. God impressed the idea of washing feet after i watched the Passion of the Christ. There was a small scene when Christ washed His disciples' feet. I can't imagine how awesome it is for the God of all the UNIVERSE to wash my feet. It's just awesome.

The secret to love one another is to allow God to wash your feet first. The Bible says in 1 John 4:11 - 'Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another'.

So let God love you and let's love one another. I pray that this will be the defining factor of RIOT2.

Keep the prayers burning

Thank God for the 3 souls on saturday! Really glad we can all join in at wad God's doing at this hour. Don't let the prayers die down ok!! We must carry on praying and persevering till God will pour out His full revival on us.

God has been challenging me to not only dream revival, but also to live it, to pray it. I don't want to loose the agony for the lost around me! Their salvation is as precious as before!

Let's continue to tarry with God for souls. My prayer for all of us is really to catch the love of God for our friends. This is the way to go and we must not stop until the breakthrough comes! Press on!!

How to get Passion to pray for lost souls

How to get the continuous passion to pray for the lost? The answer is simple, just consider their state, their guilt, doom and punishment. Here are some verses, may God continue to stir us to pray.

Heb 2:15 'who thru fear of death were subjected to slavery all their lives'
Heb 6:7 'it is impossible to renew them again to repentance'
Rom 1:18 'For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men'
Rom 2:8 'but to those who are selfishly ambitious ... wrath and indignation'
Rom 2:9 'There wll be tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does evil'
Jer 25:14 'I will recompense them according to their deeds'

Prayer Grasps Eternity

RIOTers... How have our prayer life been? I was pondering over something and God just reminded me of this book that i've read, "Classics on Revival". I remembered an incident while i was reading the book and the section on Prayer Grasps Eternity hit me real hard. A glimpse of what was written:

"NO man is greater than his prayer life. The pastor who is not praying is playing; the people who are not praying are straying. The pulpit can be a shop-window to display one's talents; the prayer closet allows no showing off.

Poverty-stricken as the Church is today in many things, it is most stricken here, in the place of prayer. We have many organizers, but few agonizers; many players and payers, few prayers; many singers, few clingers; lots of pastors, few wrestlers; many fears, few tears; much fashion, little passion; many interferers, few interessors, many writers, but few fighters."

I believe that as we pray, we are entering into God's treasure house. Our praying, however, needs to be pressed and pursued with an energy that never tires, a persistency which will not be denied, and a courage which never fails.

I pray that even as the church AGM is approaching, together as a church, we'll commit ourselves to fast and pray for the leaders of the church and those who are called will rise up to serve. Pray also for ministry, the life group and ourselves that we will guard our heart in our daily lives and that we will stay focused in Building a House Fit For Our King daily.

"PRAY WITHOUT CEASING" (1 Thessalonians 5:17)--Unceasing Communion With God. I simply like what C.H.Spurgeon said, "Minute by minute, moment by moment, somehow or other, my heart must commune with God. Prayer has become as essential to me as the heaving of my lungs and the beating of my pulse." What does prayer means to you today?

Come on RIOTers, we gotta PRAY like never before.

The Church - The Community

Dr Larry Crabb says in his book 'Connecting' that, "the greatest need in modern civilisation is the development of communities - true communities where the heart of God is home, where the humble and wise learn to shepherd those on the path behind them, where trusting strugglers lock arms with others as together they journey on."

How true it is, this year, as we build God a house, let's also build him a house of unity and love. Think WE ALL NEED TO START LOVING ONE ANOTHER. The LG is a good place to start. It is not Daryl's LG or Gloria's LG, but it is each and everyone of yours! So make it work!

Imagine when new believers come and join us and they feel the love of God coming through our love for each other, how powerful we will be in reaching lost and lonely souls!

Let's start dreaming of the big LOVE for each other, and build a community where God's love can be seen

Building God a house of worship

Last week I'm sure God has taught us all the value and the importance of worship. Worship, as Ps Wah Lok said, is our relationship with God. And the basic of any relationship is being in the company of each other. In this case, it is being in the Presence of God, talking and fellowshiping with Him.

Ps 27:8 says,'When You said, "Seek My Face", my heart said to You, "Your Face, O Lord, I shall seek". God desires for us more than we desire for Him. Do you think that He will not come and minister to you when you choose to spend time with Him everyday?
Being in God's presence is just so wonderful. It's not only feeling good, but it is being with God Himself. It's just awesome. So give God time everyday! Set aside 1hr/2hrs just to worship Him and spend time in His Presence. Your QT will never be the same again.......

Responding to Who Jesus is

Who really is Jesus? Since we cannot know Him by sight - how He looks, the food he likes to eat, the favourite phrases he says, there must be other ways we can know Him.
For one, we can know Him by what He has done for us. By recalling those times you felt His Presence at the altar calls or those prayers He answered. You can know what His character is. Like He is faithful, He loves me.
For me, I know God as the God who never fails me. Even when i neglect Him and sin against Him, He still loves. He cannot stand sin, but He still loves me. From this I always am comforted that He's always there for me, even when i think that no one believes in me, i know that the Master of the universe does. This makes me love Him all the more, makes me want to serve Him whenever i can. So much so that I told Him that I'll do anything, just let me serve Him!
It is not the responses to God that is great. It is in WHO GOD IS that makes it awesome. It is in discovering God for yourself when He comes close to you and whispers into your ears that makes you realise who He really is. And knowing God is AWESOME!

'If we could know only ONE person in this world, let it be YOU JESUS.'

And please do keep JianBin in Prayer. Pray that God'll heal him and for strength to go thru the treatment. Let's trust God as a LG!

StaYing on Course

It is easy many times to hear a Call from God or be inspired at one instance by His Presence to live for Him more. But it is not easy to really stay on course and remain fervent all the way. Imagine what change our lives will have if only we fulfilled all that God has called us to do! It will be another Accelerate or even greater, when we stay focused and work with God to fulfill the vision!
Let's work on this this week, to stay focused on God's theme for RGEN - to build Him a house. Prov 4:25-27 says, 'Let your eyes look directly ahead, and let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. Watch the path of your feet and your all ways will be established. DO NOT TURN TO THE RIGHT NOR TO THE LEFT, turn your foot from evil.' WE MUST KEEP REMINDING OURSELVES OF IT!
I pray that in the days to come, we will all be consumed by this vision and move with God in His workings in our ministry. 'Staying Focused' is the word. So don't get distracted, keep pressing on for the Lord in your schools!

Oh Lord give us 600 more souls!

Something God has placed in my heart today. 1 Pet 4:11 "Whoever speaks, let him speak, as it were, the utterances of God.." Peter was so serious about speech that he said that if we should only talk when we feel that it is as worthy as God talking Himself, as 'utterances of God'. If not, we should not say it!

So let's be as crazy for God in our speech as we are for GOD!!!=)

Evangelism through ACTION!

Yay!!Our blog is finally up again..=). All thanks to Clarence. *clap clap*
So how has all of ur weeks been? Pray that you've been living for God in your schools.

Jonathan Edwards, the first great Awakener of America said ,'there are 2 ways to preach the Gospel, one by action and the other by mouth'.
This echoes the same heart of Peter's in 1 Peter, where he asks Christians to "live the rest of the time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God" 1 Pet 4:2. Why? Because God redeemed us with IMPERISHABLE and PURE blood (1 Pet 1:18-19), because Christ lived as an example (1 Pet 2:21-25) and Jesus has empowered us (1 Pet 3:21).

Since we are so convinced of God's grace and mercy in saving us, it is time that we start really living for Him. Nothing is too big a price. So let's try to be OBEDIENT STUDENTS in our classes, doing our work and keeping quiet. Start doing these small things for God and He'll give you bigger things!
